Leeds 10K for Star Bereavement
Walled Garden resident Star Bereavement Support Service (Suite 3) continue to raise funds in support of their charity by participating in the Jane Tomlinson ‘Run For All’ Leeds 10K on July 14th.
The team at Star Bereavement also recently joined up with young people bereaved of a parent who first attended the charity’s groups back in January and February for some bowling fun!
Star Bereavement Support Service is a small charity providing support around bereavement and loss, working with children and young people aged 4-19 years in the Wakefield area. The charity helps children to express feelings through talking, games, journals, life stories and play for younger children.
- Normalising grief, finding ways to adjust, adapt and move forward
- Exploring memories through making memory boxes, books, jars and stones
- Creative therapeutic activities: painting, crafts, storytelling, role play and sand play
- Positive Futures: exploring the positives in life, focusing on self esteem, confidence building and the future
